Why is February the last month 28 days and Sometimes 29 days?
* Why is the last month of February sometimes 28 days and sometimes 29 days? *
As you all know, February this year is 29 days. And it's been 4 years since, but why. And when is it happening?
Most people may know the reason. But for those who don't know, find out what the real reason for an extra day or leap day is every 4 years.
In fact, the duration of the Earth's orbit around the sun is not 365 days, but rather the fourth day, ie 365 days, five hours, 49 minutes and 12 seconds.
And since the earth revolves around the sun. Therefore, climate change also depends on the relation of the rotation of the earth and the sun, so if you keep 365 days each year, the fourth day of each year starts to make a difference. And the calendar season starts to take off.
Now that such a Gregory calendar is used around the world. It has 365 days, so by means of leap seconds and leap year, clocks and calendars are synchronized with earth and seasons.
About 45 BC, King Julius Caesar of Rome set up a commission to reform the calendars. Who decided that one out of every four years should be made 366 days.
Instead of adding one day every four years after the death of Julius Caesar, this increase was made every three years. Once again, the Roman calendar began to move beyond the seasons.
This problem was sought after by the Reformer King Augustus Caesar, who came after Julius Caesar in 8 BC. And so the series continued until the 16th century.
In the 16th century, Pop Gregory tried to solve this problem by changing the calendar and setting up a commission in which it was fixed. In every 400 years there would be 97 lip airs instead of 100 lip air.
* Why is the month of February usually 28 days? *
But skip this question. But can you tell? Have you ever wondered why this month is only 28 days?
So this is the kind of ancient Rome. And the month of February was, in fact, not the beginning.
Yes, in fact, the calendar of the Roman government was 8 months in the 8th BC. In which the beginning of the year was March and the end of December was not January and February.
The 10-month year consisted of 304 days, consisting of March 31, April 30, May 31, June 30, July 31, August 30, September 30, October 31, November 30 and December 30.
In those days, winter was an unnamed and unpopular period. What nobody cared about (because the crops were grown at a particular time and because of this the winters were considered useless).
So in these 61 days, if anyone is asked what month is it? So the correct answer would be that no one is there.
The Roman king Numa Pompilius wondered why 61 days were finally ignored in the calendar, so in 713 BC the calendar was divided into 12 months. It consisted of 355 days, with the increase being January and February, which were finally kept, the last month of the year being February.
But none of the calendars of ancient Rome could have been completed without fanaticism, as numbers in ancient Rome were considered a sign of misfortune. So King Numa wanted each month to contain a significant number, but had to put in a month to complete 355 days.
And that happened in February. Which was probably the end of the list. And then there were the months of the year, March 31, April 29, May 31, June 29, July 31, August 29, September 29, October 31, November 29, December 29, January 29 and February 28.
This calendar of 355 days was not complete. Seasons and months began to fall out of order after many years. So a 27-day leap month was added to Rome to fix it. Mercedonius was named.
Four days of February were removed for this. And the month of Leap began after February 24, indicating that no one cared about that month.
But this leap month turned into a headache. Because there was no continuity. Because of this, the religious leaders of the time had to determine it, even during the reign of Julius Caesar the Roman people had no idea what history was today.
So Caesar rolled out Leap Month and reshaped the calendar.
Julius Caesar linked the calendar to the sun. He added a few days to 365 days a year.
After doing so it came in second on the February calendar. But it lasted 28 days. And ever since.
* If you were born February 29? *
People who are born on February 29th. They have to choose February 28 or March 1 to celebrate their birthday, while some remain on February 29.
Some circles believe that those born after midnight between 28 and 29 February should celebrate their birthday on 28 February. Whereas those who were born sometime between the night of February 29 and March 1, they were born on March 1.
Always be happy
